This second instalment of the documentary series Benefits Street, reveals the reality of life on benefits.

The residents of Kingston Road in Stockton on Tees, invited cameras into their tight-knit community and allowed them to follow, over the course of a year, the highs and lows of what life is really like for some of this country’s millions of claimants. Amidst calls to boycott and ban the series, pressure from MP’s, Councillors and the Press, residents of the Tilery estate have held strong and demanded their voices be heard.

Whilst people may not have much they do have one another.
